Born in Meridian Township, McPherson County, Kansas, Nathaniel went to Fairbanks, Texas, to Harris Co. Texas, with his parents; on returning from there he later homesteaded near Johnson, Stanton County, Kansas (NE quarter Section 24 T28S R43W of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Kansas (Patent Number 80494)), the papers were signed by President Taft. Lewis Kulp, first cousin to Nathaniel, homesteaded at the same time, their land joined, they built their house on the line, Lewis lived in his half, and Nathaniel lived in his half. Nathaniel, farmed near Buhler for 2 years and then he moved on a farm N.E. of Halstead, Harvey County, Kansas, his sister Christena kept house for him for several years before he married. In August of 1941, Nathaniel, moved with his family to Chase County, Kansas, RR 1, Clements. At death he belonged to the Friends Church, buriel in the Homestead Cemetery, Clements, Chase County, Kansas.
On May 29, 1914, he married Myrtle Arletta Glover of Liberal, Kansas. Nathaniel and Arletta settled on a farm near Halstead, Garden Township, Harvey County,Kansas, on the Martin Place where they spent the first several years of married life. Nathaniel and Arletta joined the Methodist Church in Hesston soon after their marriage.
Later they moved 3/4 mile, on to the Freeburg Farm where they lived for 20 years. In 1938, moving 9 miles to Grandmother Blosser's farm. In 1941 the family moved 50 miles to Homestead Township, Chase County, Kansas. Attended Friends Church.
Nathaniel died in Bethel Hospital, Newton, Kansas.
Nathaniel and Arletta are buried at the Homestead Cemetary, Chase County, Kansas. From Clements go south to first crossroad, 9.2 miles east and south to cemetary.

OBITUARY-
Funeral services for Nathaniel Blosser of the Homestead community, who died Tuesday May 8 in the Bethel hospital in Newton were held Friday afternoon, May 11, 1951 at two o'clock in the home and two thrity o'clock in the Friends church at Homestead. The Rev. D. A. Pitts officiated. Alice Bond, Florence Mercer, Lloyd Thompson and Elmer Ludwig sang accompanied by Dorothy Ludwig. The pall bearers were Alfred Mercer, Jake Dillman, Chad Patton, Bill Baker and Allen Bond. Interment was made in the Homestead cemetery.
Nathaniel Blosser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abram Blosser, was born June 4, 1882 near Hesston, Kansas and departed this life May 8, 1951 at the Bethel Hospital, Newton, Kansas at the age of 68 years, 11 months and 4 days.
He spent the greater portion of his youth in the Hesston community with the exception of 10 years spent in Texas.
He was united in marriage to Arletta Glover of Liberal, Kansas on May 29, 1914, at Hutchinson, Kansas. To this union were born six children. They are Mrs. Opal Loucks of Neodesha, Mrs. Frances Patton of Clements, Miss Mary Louise Blosser of Del Norte, Colorado, Laverne Blosser of Clements, Lt. Robert N. Blosser of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Richard W. Blosser of Newton.
The family made their home near Hesston until August of 1941 when they moved to their present home in the Homestead Community.
Upon his confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour, he became a member of the Hesston Methodist church in 1915. Later he joined the Homestead Friends Church to which church he remained a faithful member until death.
He was a faithful and devoted husband and father. To know him was to love and appreciate him. Though he accumulated little of this world's wealth he left an inheritance far greater - the memory of a humble Christian life well spent in service to God, to his family, to the church and to the communities in which he lived.
He is survived by his wife, six children, 9 grandchildren, three brothers; Rudolph of Hesston, Sam of Burrton and Linden of Harrison, Michigan; one sister, Mrs. Salome Dawman of Elker, Indiana and a host of relatives and friends.
