James BACON

James was born in January 1834 in Jonesborough, TN.¹ James' father was Thomas BACON and his mother was Sarah A. (Sally) BARRON. His maternal grandparents were George Thomas BARRON and Phebe JOBE. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Jesse, Charles, Isaac, Daniel, John N., Thomas H., Jonathan W. (Daunt?), Jacob W. (Jake), Pheobie Ann, Mary (Pop), Sarah Ann, Elizabeth and Amanda Jane. He was the seventh youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 24 on January 12th, 1858 in Jonesborough, TN. He was buried in Bacon Cemetary.¹¹
