Her paternal grandparents were Caleb JOBE and Barbary UNKNOWN; her maternal grandfather was Zachariah MACKAY and her maternal grandmother is Lydia WHITSON. She had ten brothers and nine sisters, named Jacob, Jacob, Samuel, Samuel, George, James, Zachariah, George, Zachariah, George, Mary Leah, Elizabeth (Betsey), Hannah, Leah, Dorcas, Lydia Mary, Hannah, Dorcas and Lydia.
