John AVERY 
John was born on April 1st, 1683 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut and his baptism took place on April 1st, 1683 in Of Stonington, N.l., Ct. John's father was John Or Jon AVERY and his mother was Abigail CHESEBROUGH. His paternal grandparents were James AVERY and Joanna GREENSLADE; his maternal grandparents were Samuel CHEESEBOROUGH and Abigail CHESEBROUGH. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Benjamin, Joseph, Nathaniel, William, Josiah, Elisha, Daniel, Thomas, Abigail, Mary, Elizabeth, Anna and Desire. He was the third oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 79 in October 1762 in New London, New London, Ct. He was buried in Avery-Morgan Burying Ground.General Notes
