Benjamin AVERY 
Benjamin was born in 1686 in Of, Stonington, New London, Connecticut and his baptism took place in First Church, Of New London, Ct. Benjamin's father was John Or Jon AVERY and his mother was Abigail CHESEBROUGH. His paternal grandparents were James AVERY and Joanna GREENSLADE; his maternal grandparents were Samuel CHEESEBOROUGH and Abigail CHESEBROUGH. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named John, Joseph, Nathaniel, William, Josiah, Elisha, Daniel, Thomas, Abigail, Mary, Elizabeth, Anna and Desire. He was the fourth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 81 on December 3rd, 1767.General Notes
