Louis I was born in Casseneuil, Lot-Et-Garonne, France and his baptism took place in Germany - aka Lodwig or Louis le Debonnaire (the fair).1   Louis I's father was Charlemagne Emperor of Holy Roman Empir and his mother was Hildegarde Countess Of Linzgau**.  His paternal grandparents were Pepin The Short Franks and Bertrada Countess of Laon; his maternal grandparents were Gerold I of Swabia and Emma Duchess Of ALAMANIA. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Charles The Younger' Of, Louis, Pippin Carloman King, Pépin I, Cunigunde and Bertha Princess Of The. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Hugo L'Abbe Bastard Holy, Carloman, Child Of Charlemagne and Alpais Aupals of.  He died in Near Ingelheim, Rhinehessen, Hesse.  He was buried in 0840 in Aachen Cathedral, Aachen, Rheinland, Prussia.1 1
