Mrs. W. F. Klein.
Mrs. W. F. Klein, a resident of Ellsworth Township and this village since 1915 and a Gold Star mother, died at her home Sunday. Mrs. Klein had been an invalid for almost 10 years.
Anna Sophia Klein was born December 23, 1873, at Ashton, Illinois, the daughter of George Reiss and Wilhelmina Anthes. She lived at Ashton until March 21, 1893, when she was married to William Frederick Klein at Garrison, Iowa. They moved to Ellsworth township in 1915 and have resided here ever since.
Mrs. Klein was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary.
March 21, 1948, Mr. and Mrs. Klein celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

   Anna Sophia Reiss (Klein) was born December 23, 1873 in Ashton, Illinois and died April 4, 1948. She married William Frederick Klein March 21, 1893 in Garrison, Iowa. Nine children were born of the marriage: Walter Ezra, Frederick Edward, Sherman George, Marion Lewis, Elizabeth Marie, Alice Elfreda, Oliver Wendell, Luella Grace, and Mildred Katherine.
