Her paternal grandfather was Jacob Hare; her maternal grandparents were David Moomaw and Mary Myers. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Euphrates Alden, Uriah Marion, Fletcher David, George Bronlow, Albert Pary, James Boston, Mary Helena, Rose Ann and Durrilda M..
