Adam received his mother's lands 6 years after her death. 1 258-expedition into Wales with king's men. Later sided wit h de Montfort and was at Battle of Evesham. He owned 1/2 o f the barony of Schelford and possessed the manors of Everi ngham and Farburne, Yorkshire & Westbury, Lincolnshire.

Adam de Everingham, at the decease of his mother in the 36t h Henry III [1252], had livery of her lands upon doing homa ge and giving security for the payment of £50 for his relie f. In the 42nd Henry III [1258], this feudal lord was in th e expedition made then into Wales, but he afterwards took u p arms with Montfort, Earl of Leicester, and the other disc ontented barons of that period, and was at the battle of Ev esham. He d. 9th Edward I [1280-81], being at that time sei sed of a moiety of they barony of Schelford, in Nottinghams hire, into which moiety twelve knights' fees and a half i n several counties appertained, whereof ten were for the Ba iliwick of Sherwood. He likewise possessed the manors of Ev eringham and Farburne, co. York, and Westbury, co. Lincoln . He was s. by his son, Robert.
