Louvain was born about 1060 in Brabant, Lorraine, France.1   Louvain's father was Henry II Count Of Louvain and his mother was Alix. He had a brother and a sister, named Henry III Count Of and Ida De.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died in Jerusalem, Israel.  He was buried in Efflighem, , Ger.1 1
