Henry I was born in 1070 in Selby, West Riding, Yorkshire, England and his baptism took place there on August 5th, 1100.1   Henry I's father was Guillaume de Normandie and his mother was Maud de Flandres.  His paternal grandparents were Robert "The Magnificent" de Normandie and Herleve de Mortaigne; his maternal grandparents were Baudouin and Alix Capet. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Robert III, Richard de, William II, UNKNOWN, Gundred de, Margaret de, Agatha Matilda de, Constance de, Alice De and Anna de.  He was the youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 65 on December 1st, 1135 in , St. Denis, Seine-St-Denis, France.  He was buried in Abbey, Reading, Berkshire, England.1 1
