James DeMoss

James was born on September 8th, 1728 in Baltimore Co,Maryland   (now Harford Co).  James' father was *Louis DeMoss and his mother was *Catherine.  His paternal grandfather was *Count Louis Dumas (according to tradition). He had six brothers and two sisters, named Lewis, William, John, Peter (Pierre), Thomas, *Charles (Sr.), Catherine and Pine orJane.  He was the second youngest of the nine children.  He died before November 10th, 1775.

‌James and Phoebe were married in a religious ceremony in 1748 in VA.
