Matilda (Maud the Empress) was born on August 5th, 1104 in England.  Matilda (Maud the Empress)'s father was HENRY I KING OF ENGLAND and her mother was Matilda of Scotland.  Her paternal grandparents were WILLIAM THE CONQUEROR KING OF ENGLAND and Matilda (Maud) Of Flanders; her maternal grandparents were Malcolm III (Caenmor Longneck) of Scotland and Margaret "The Saint" of England.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 63 in 1167.

‌Matilda (Maud the Empress) and Geoffrey IV (le Bon) were married in a religious ceremony on May 22nd, 1128 in Le Mans Cathredral, Anjou.  They had a son named HENRY II CUTMANTLE.
