WILLIAM THE CONQUEROR was born on October 14th, 1027 in Falais, Calvados, France.  WILLIAM THE CONQUEROR's father was Robert I "The Magnificent" Of Normandy and his mother was Heleve (Arlette) de Falaise.  His paternal grandparents were Richard II "The Good" Of Normandy and Judith Of Brittany; his maternal grandfather was Fulbert de Falaise. He had a half-brother named Robert de Burgh.  He died at the age of 59 on September 10th, 1087 in Hermenbraville, Seine-Maritime, France.  He was buried in L'Abbaye aux Hommes, Saint Etienne's in Caen.
