HENRY I was born in September 1068 in Selby, Yorkshire, England.  HENRY I's father was WILLIAM THE CONQUEROR KING OF ENGLAND and his mother was Matilda (Maud) Of Flanders.  His paternal grandparents were Robert I "The Magnificent" Of Normandy and Heleve (Arlette) de Falaise; his maternal grandfather was UNKNOWN Baldwin V. He had two brothers named ROBERT II "CURTHOSE" and HENRY I.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 67 on December 1st, 1135 in Gisors, Normandy.  He was buried on January 4th, 1136 in Reading Abbey, Reading, Berkshire, England.
