Martha Ann was born on January 15th, 1855.  Martha Ann's father was Vincent Vaden and her mother was Sarah E. Martin.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Vaden and Unknown Hatcher; her maternal grandparents were John R. Martin and Catherine Williams. She had seven brothers named John Henry, Peter Francis, James M., William Edward, Richard Johnson, Robert Giles and Joseph Leonard.  She was the second youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 77 on February 21st, 1932.
