Susan Jane Thigpen 
Susan Jane was born on August 17th, 1859 in Edgecombe Co. NC. Susan Jane's father was Benjamin Jordan Thigpen and her mother was Mary Francis Little. Her paternal grandparents were Howell Thigpen and Mary Parker; her maternal grandparents were Frederick Dinkins Little and Harriett R. Knight. She had three brothers and a sister, named Franklin Lafayett, James Howell, William Alphonso and Sarah Elizabeth "Sally". She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 70 on November 11th, 1929 in Edgecombe Co. NC.-
