Sally Best

Sally was born in 1816 in Edgecombe Co. NC.  Sally's father was William Best and her mother was Penelope Edmondson.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Henry Best and Sarah Jane Alexander; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Edmondson and Ann Howard. She had a brother and five sisters, named Calvin, Elizabeth, Amy, Nance, Julia and Lucinda.  She was the youngest of the seven children.
