George Whinnen 
George was born on November 30th, 1891 in Gawler SA. George's father was * John Whinnen and his mother was * Emily McIntosh. His paternal grandparents were * John Whinnen and * Elizabeth Nicholas. He had six brothers and a sister, named Robert John, Edward Blee, Horace McIntosh, Hector McDonald, Frederick Nicholas, Douglas Tretheway and * Julia Mabel. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 59 in 1950.-
