* John Whinnen

* John was born about 1778 in St Erth, Cornwall ENG and his baptism took place on January 18th, 1778 in St Erth, Cornwall.  * John's father was *Edward Whinnen and his mother was * Mary Mitchell.  His paternal grandparents were *Edward Whinnen and *Margaret; his maternal grandparents were *Francis Mitchell and *Elizabeth Priddis. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Edward, Francis, Edward II, Mary, Elizabeth, Margaret and Elizabeth II.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.

‌* John and * Mary were married in a religious ceremony on November 24th, 1798 in St Erth, Cornwall ENG.  They had seven sons and three daughters, named John, William, John II, Edward, * Richard, James, Samuel, Jenefer Blight, Mary and Elizabeth.
