Robert Samuel was born in 1858 in Richmond NSW. Robert Samuel's father was * Robert Forrester and his mother was * Ellen Nixon. His paternal grandparents were * Robert Forrester and * Isabella Ramsay; his maternal grandparents were * Samuel Nixon and * Ellen Connors. He had three brothers and four sisters, named * William Henry, Ernest George, John Robert, Eliza Matilda, Susannah J, Kara M and Mary Ellen. He was the oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and seven half-sisters, named Thomas, Ann, Lydia, Isabella, Maude, May, Maisie and Mary. He died at the age of 65 in 1923 in Penrith NSW.-
