Mary Ellen was born in October 1871 in Richmond NSW. Mary Ellen's father was * Robert Forrester and her mother was * Ellen Nixon. Her paternal grandparents were * Robert Forrester and * Isabella Ramsay; her maternal grandparents were * Samuel Nixon and * Ellen Connors. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Robert Samuel, * William Henry, Ernest George, John Robert, Eliza Matilda, Susannah J and Kara M. She was the youngest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and seven half-sisters, named Thomas, Ann, Lydia, Isabella, Maude, May, Maisie and Mary. She died at 3 months old on January 26th, 1872 in Richmond NSW.-
