* William Nixon

* William was born in 1761 in Staffordshire, ENG and his baptism took place in 1761 in Rugeley, Stafforshire ENG.  * William's father was * Samuel Nixon and his mother was * Mary Wood.  His paternal grandparents were * Samuel Nixon and * Sarah Stevens. He had a brother and three sisters, named James, Ann, Ellen and Mary II.  He was the oldest of the five children.

‌* William and * Mary were married in a religious ceremony in 1785 in Warwick ENG.  They had five sons and three daughters, named Henry, James, * Samuel, William, Thomas, Harriet, Jane and Mary.
