Sir William de Clare

William was born on May 18th, 1228 in ,Gloucestershire,England. William's father was Gilbert de Clare IV Earl of Gloucester and his mother was Isabel , Countess of Hertford Marshall. His paternal grandparents were Richard de Clare VI Earl of Hertford and Amice FitzRobert Countess; his maternal grandparents were William MARSHALL [Earl Of Pembrok and Isabel Fitzgilbert De Clare. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Richard, Gilbert, Adeliza, Amicia, Isabel and Agnes. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, Henry, Nicholas, Richard and Isabel. He died in Retherford. He was buried on July 23rd, 1258 in Dureford Abbey.
