Yolande de was born in 1089 in Wassenberg,Rheinland,Prussia.1 Yolande de's father was Gerard I Or Gerhard III Von Wassenberg and her mother was Clemence De Poitou. Her paternal grandfather was Heinrich Von Wassenberg; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume (Pierre) VII Duc de Aquitaine and Ermensinde De Longwy. She had a brother and two sisters, named Gerard II, Jutta Von and Judith. She had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Guillaume de Luxemburg, Henri III de Luxemburg, Salome Countess Of, Judith, Agnes De, Ermisende De and Mathilda of.
