Gerard I was born in 0988 in Wassenberg,Rheinland,Prussia.  Gerard I's father was Mr Wassenberg. He had a brother named Ruger.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 47 in 1035 in Wassenberg,Rheinland,Prussia.
