Louis VI "El Gordo" was born in ,,,France.  Louis VI "El Gordo"'s father was Philippe I of France and his mother was Bertha of Westfriesland.  His paternal grandparents were Henri I of France and Anastasia Jaroslawna of Kiev; his maternal grandparents were Florent (Florens) I of Holland and Gertrude of Saxony. He had three brothers and a sister, named Henry Prince of, Charles Prince of, Eudes Prince of and Constance of. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Philippe Count of, Flore Fleury Prince, Cecile Princess of and Eustachie Princess of.  He died on August 1st, 1137 in Bethizy Castle,Paris,Seine,France.  He was buried in St Denis.
