Joan De was born about 1375 in Chateau De Beaufort,Meuse-et-Loire,France.  Joan De's father was John "Of Gaunt" of England Duke of Lancaster and her mother was Catherine de Roet Duchess of Lancaster.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward III, King England and Countess, Queen of England Philippa Hainault; her maternal grandparents were Payn de Roet and Catherine de Hainault. She had three brothers and a sister, named John (1st Earl of Somerset), Henry, Thomas and Joan. She had five half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Edward, John, Henry Plantagenet IV King of, John, Thomas, Philippa of, Philippa, Elizabeth, Isabel, Catherine of, Blanche and Blanche.  She died on November 13th, 1440 in Howden,York,England.  She was buried in Lincoln Catheral,Lincoln,Lincolnshire,England.

‌Joan De and Sir Ralph , K.G., 1st Earl of Westmor were married in a religious ceremony on November 29th, 1396 in Chateau De Beauf,Meuse-et-Loire,,France.1   They had nine sons and five daughters, named Richard, Henry De, Thomas De, Cuthbert De, Robert, William, John De, George, Edward, Catherine De, Joan, Eleanor, Anne De and Cicely.
