Agnes (Sophia) was born about 1111 in Wien,Wien,Austria.  Agnes (Sophia)'s father was St. Luitpold III von Babenberg, Margrave of Austria and her mother was Agnes Salian Princess of the Holy Roman Empire.  Her paternal grandparents were Luitpold II the Good von Babenberg, Margrave of Austria and Ida, Countess of Cham; her maternal grandparents were Heinrich IV Emperor of The Holy Roman Empire and Bertha Countess Of Maurienne. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Adalbert, Prince of, Leopold IV Markgraf of, Otto, Prince Of, Otto Abbaye of Mormond the Historian, Bishop of, Heinrich II, Duke of, Ernst, Prince Of, Konrad, Prince of, Agnes de Babenberg von, Jutta von, Jhutte Of, Elisabeth, Princess Of, Brechta von, Berthe and Gertrude of. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Frederick II the One-Eyed von, Konrad III King of, Richilde of, Gertrud Princess of, Sophia zu and Luitgard of.  She died in September 1157.
