Thomas Jefferson was born on November 12th, 1846 in Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL.1 Thomas Jefferson's father was Calvin Teel and his mother was Sarah Louise Griffin. His paternal grandparents were Henry Loderick Teel and Martha Young; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Griffin and Martha Fritz. He had six brothers and five sisters, named John C., William Henry, Nathan Franklin, Richard Columbus, George Dallas, Thomas Benjamin, Sarah Louise, Marha Ann Frances, Mary M., Seana J. and Emily July M.. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 90 on February 8th, 1937 in Clanton, Chilton Co., AL.1 General Notes
