He had six brothers and five sisters, named John C., Thomas Jefferson, William Henry, Nathan Franklin, Richard Columbus, Thomas Benjamin, Sarah Louise, Marha Ann Frances, Mary M., Seana J. and Emily July M.. He was the second youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 84 on December 18th, 1943 in Millerville, Coosa Co., AL. He was buried on December 20th, 1943 in M.
