Sarah Louise was born on November 11th, 1848 in Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL.1 Sarah Louise's father was Calvin Teel and her mother was Sarah Louise Griffin. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Loderick Teel and Martha Young; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Griffin and Martha Fritz. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named John C., Thomas Jefferson, William Henry, Nathan Franklin, Richard Columbus, George Dallas, Thomas Benjamin, Marha Ann Frances, Mary M., Seana J. and Emily July M.. She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 12 in 1860 in AL.1 General Notes
