Shirley Clinton was born on March 28th, 1893 in Shelby Co., AL.1 Shirley Clinton's father was John William Spradley and his mother was Sarah Carrie Cashatt. His paternal grandparents were Manning C. Spradley and Louisa Delula Chritzberg. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Amos J., George Osha, Hursie B., Alvie and Alice. He was the third oldest of the six children.
