Cleo Festus was born on May 5th, 1904 in Rockdale, Milam Co., TX.1 Cleo Festus' father was George Wesley Spradley and his mother was Myrtle Martha Yeager. His paternal grandparents were Bryant Eugene Spradley and Emmaline Todd. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Albert Eugene, Terry Davis, Oakley Hunter, Joseph Fieldon, Ernest Franklin, Hershell Wesley, Hiram Lesley, Willie Wilson, Ollie Earl, Cody Temple and Dollie Pearl. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 77 on February 22nd, 1982 in Dallas, Dallas Co., TX.1 General Notes
