J. Thomas Russell 
J. Thomas was born on March 20th, 1835 in AL.1 J. Thomas' father was Simon Russell and his mother was Nancy Love. His paternal grandparents were Michael Russell and Martha (?). He had four brothers and a sister, named William James, John M., Isaiah, Samuel Tines and Martha Simon. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 77 on September 4th, 1912 in AL.1 General Notes

Little is known of J. Thomas Russell. He is listed on the census rolls
from 1850 on, but in the 1870 census he is shown on the rolls as Thomas
J. His wife was listed as shown and the first two children listing their
ages. In the Ebenezer cemetery just outside Ramer, AL, the family is
listed with birth and death dates, but only the last four children are
