Isaiah Russell 
Isaiah was born in 1829 in AL.1 Isaiah's father was Simon Russell and his mother was Nancy Love. His paternal grandparents were Michael Russell and Martha (?). He had four brothers and a sister, named William James, John M., Samuel Tines, J. Thomas and Martha Simon. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 36 in 1865 in AL.1 General Notes

Not much is know about Isaiah Russell. His family is listed in the
Federal Census. here was this family story about his death: It seems that
during the Civil War a ten modern version of the old English style "press
gang" came through the area picking up "volunteers" for the confederate
army. Isaiah had a family to support and a large farm to tend and he
either refused or argued with the recruiters with the result that he was
shot down and left lying on the field. James L. Buckley, Jr
