Oliver Frank, Jr. was born about 1918 in AL.1 Oliver Frank, Jr.'s father was Oliver Francis Rushing and his mother was Alma Arleen Mead. His paternal grandparents were David Oliver Rushing and Coral E. Rushton. He had three brothers and a sister, named Euland Mead, Mitchell Rushton, Arthur Mead and Alma Arlene.General Notes

Oliver Frank Rushing, Jr., son of Oliver Francis and Alma (Mead) Rushing
graduated at Prattville High School in Prattville, AL and started college
at Auburn University in Septemter 1940. In November he was called out
with the National Guard for induction into the regular army. Going to
Camp Blanding, FL, he was sent from there to Scott Field, Illinois for
special training at radio school, and later was assigned to the
Communications Division at Jackson, Mississippi. Afterwards he was sent
to Washington, D. C. for a brief period and early in August was
transferred by plance to Brazil, arriving there 11 Aug 1942.
