Arthur Mead was born on August 13th, 1924 in ?.1 Arthur Mead's father was Oliver Francis Rushing and his mother was Alma Arleen Mead. His paternal grandparents were David Oliver Rushing and Coral E. "Arthur Mead, son of Oliver Francis and Alma (Mead) Rushing was born 13
Aug 1924. He finished high in Prattville High School as did his brothers,
graduating with the Class of 1942. He enlisted 17 August 1942 in the
Marines. Sent to Parris Island for preliminary training, at the end of
six weeks, he was transferred to New River, NC. He married Madelyn King
