Minnie Rushing 
Minnie was born about 1876 in Pike Co., AL.1 Minnie's father was William Cain Rushing and her mother was Mary Ann Cogburn. Her paternal grandparents were Mathew Malachi Rushing and Elizabeth Thornhill. She had a sister named Elizabeth. She was the younger of the two children. She had nine half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Mathew M. (Mack), John Eager Howard, Thomas A., Joseph T., Solomon James, Stephen McDonald, Henry Oscar, Eugene, Julius, Elizabeth Pheebe, Mary Jane, Susannah, Lucinda S. and Pleasant F.. She died on December 22nd, 1955 in Pike Co., AL.1 General Notes

On 4 February 1882, Mastin A. Hinson, was appointed guardian of Lizzie
and Minnie, the two minor children of William Cain and Mary (French)
Rushing. Lizzie and Minnie were living in Pike County with their mother.
‌Minnie and Cosmer were married in a religious ceremony on April 12th, 1899 in Pike Co., AL.1 They had a daughter named Willette.
