Robert Anderson was born on April 12th, 1850 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Robert Anderson's father was James Miller and his mother was Mary Gibson. His paternal grandparents were Charles Miller and Nancy (?); his maternal grandparents were UNKNOWN Gibson and Susannah (?). He had four brothers and three sisters, named Henry Walter, James, John Thomas, Charles T., Martha, Nancy and Amanda. He was the third youngest of the eight children. Bob and Cordelia Miller lived @@15 miles NW of Rockford. Moved to the
"Ben Jones place" nearer the Coosa river and in Jan 1891 move to the
house on Pinedale Road in Chilton Co. (House is still there . .
beautiful!), which is the first home west of Interstate (14 Oct 1986).
Bob and Cordelia separated about 1902. He, reportedly, went to Mexico in
search of gold but came back to Clanton about 1911. He was not accepted
by the family, and Cordelia refuse to move to the County Poor House and
"do the cooking" for him. He then hired "an Ellison" woman to help run
the farm and reportedly had a daughter by her.
