Her paternal grandparents were James Miller and Mary Gibson; her maternal grandparents were James, Sr. Vansandt and Nancy White. She had three brothers and two sisters, named J. H., William Thomas, George Blane, Amanda Cordellia and Nancy Annie. She was the third youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 62 on February 25th, 1941 in Coosa Co., AL.
