Mary Elizabeth McEwen

Mary Elizabeth was born on May 4th, 1852 in Coosa Co., AL.¹ Mary Elizabeth's father was George Washington McEwen and her mother was Mary Catherine Sears. Her paternal grandparents were Jasper Kirkham McEwen and Mary Ann Canada; her maternal grandparents were John A. Sears and Tabitha Jane Buckner. She had five brothers and six sisters, named John Kirkham, William Powell, George Washington, Jr., James Thomas, Archie A., Martha Ann, Sarah Louise, Emma Jane, Mary Louise, Tabitha Olen and Arsula Antinet. She was the oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 2 in 1854 in Coosa Co., AL.¹
