Sarah Elmore was born on November 6th, 1863 in Walker Co., TX.1 Sarah Elmore's father was Dixon Hall II Lewis and her mother was Sarah Ann Hill. Her paternal grandparents were Dixon Hall Lewis and Susan Elizabeth Elmore; her maternal grandparents were John Hill and Sarah Taylor. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Hamlin Freeman, John Hill, Dixon Hall III, Mary Hill, Laura S. and Claride B.. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 59 on January 2nd, 1923 in Walker Co., TX. She was buried in Old Waverly Cemetery, Walker Co., TX.1 1 -
