Josephine E. was born on May 28th, 1874 in Laurel Hill, Walton County, Florida.1 Josephine E.'s father was Reuben Myles Kelley and her mother was Nancy Elizabeth Gavin. Her maternal grandparents were Charles W. Gavin and Mary Ann Garrett. She had five brothers and four sisters, named James M., General W., John R., Marion Butler, Allen Sylvester, Eliza J., Mary Elizabeth, Katie and Lucy. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 61 on April 10th, 1936. She was buried in Milton Cemetery, Santa Rosa County, Florida.1 1 -
