Robert Franklin Grimes 
Robert Franklin was born in 1830 in Georgia.1 Robert Franklin's father was John Grimes and his mother was Catharine Frederick. His paternal grandparents were James Grimes and Sarah Winders. He had three brothers and six sisters, named James Haywood, John William, Felix Kenan, Hepsabeth, Anne Elizabeth, Mary Catharine, Martha Jane, Sarah Evalina and Angeline. He was the third youngest of the ten children.
