Maude Marie was born on June 28th, 1902 in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL.1 Maude Marie's father was Asa Edward Goodwin and her mother was Josephine Elizabeth Stewart. Her paternal grandparents were Asa Amos, Jr. Goodwin and Georgianna Ann M. Spradley; her maternal grandparents were John Stewart and Elizabeth Duvall. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Infant Boy, Asa Edward IV, Houston Stewart, Edna Irene, Georgia Elizabeth, Lena Mae, Josie Pearl, Fannie Eva, Infant Girs and Daryl Maxine. She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 82 on March 30th, 1985 in St. Petersburg, FL.1 General Notes

Marie Goodwin Halbert formerly owned an antique shop called Rebel's Rest
in Lexington, Kentucky. She did illustrations for children's books and
was an accomplished artist. She earned a doctorate in psychology from the
University of Kentucky.
