Houston Stewart was born on December 19th, 1912 in Marianna, AR.1 Houston Stewart's father was Asa Edward Goodwin and his mother was Josephine Elizabeth Stewart. His paternal grandparents were Asa Amos, Jr. Goodwin and Georgianna Ann M. Spradley; his maternal grandparents were John Stewart and Elizabeth Duvall. He had two brothers and eight sisters, named Infant Boy, Asa Edward IV, Edna Irene, Georgia Elizabeth, Maude Marie, Lena Mae, Josie Pearl, Fannie Eva, Infant Girs and Daryl Maxine. He was the third youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 86 on December 16th, 1999 in Memphis, Shelby Co., TN.1 General Notes

Houston Stewart Goodwin, also known as "Pete" was a retired insurance
department employee of Holiday Inns Inc. He is buried in Memorial Park
in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was a member of St. Stephens Methodist Church, a Blue Lodge Mason. He
belonged to Summer Ave. Masonic Lodge in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a
World War II Navy veteran.
