Daryl Maxine was born on September 4th, 1916 in Marianna, AR.1 Daryl Maxine's father was Asa Edward Goodwin and her mother was Josephine Elizabeth Stewart. Her paternal grandparents were Asa Amos, Jr. Goodwin and Georgianna Ann M. Spradley; her maternal grandparents were John Stewart and Elizabeth Duvall. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Infant Boy, Asa Edward IV, Houston Stewart, Edna Irene, Georgia Elizabeth, Maude Marie, Lena Mae, Josie Pearl, Fannie Eva and Infant Girs. She was the youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 66 on July 7th, 1983 in Metarie, LA.1 General Notes

Daryl Maxine Goodwin changed her name to Daryl Clay Goodwin. She was also
known as "Dinky". She was married twice. First marriage was to Walter
Eugene Groce. She divorced him after WW II and married a Mr. Dale who
was employed with South Central Bell Telephone. She moved to a suburb of
New Orleans and opened a school called Daryl Dale School for Exceptional
Children. She was a talented composer and songwriter. She was a
graduate of Syre College in Lexington, Kentucky.
