John M. Garrett 
John M. was born on August 13th, 1873.1 John M.'s father was Thomas Jefferson Garrett and his mother was Martha Addsline Henderson. His paternal grandparents were William Walter Garrett and Nancy Sansom; his maternal grandparents were William E. Henderson and Mary Jane Wilkinson. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named James W., Jeremiah Thomas, Malcom B., Eli Richard, Daniel J., Alford Matthew, Hiram Wiley, Jefferson Monroe, Reuben Ell, Mary Elizabeth, Martha Jane, Francis Adline and Carlie Mahalie. He was the third oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 82 on December 30th, 1955. He was buried in Milligan Baptist Cemetery, Okaloosa County, Florida.1 1 -
