John Archer was born on December 14th, 1836 in AL.1 John Archer's father was Benjamin Fitzpatrick and his mother was Sarah Terry Elmore. His maternal grandparents were John Archer Elmore and Nancy Ann Martin. He had five brothers named Elmore Joseph, Phillips, Morris Martin, James Madison and Thomas Sumpter. He was the youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother named Benjamin. He died at the age of 71 in 1907 in AL. He was buried in Cain's Chapel, Elmore Co., AL.1 1 General Notes
